Wendy Harper

Background

Experience in prosecution and defense

Wendy began her legal career clerking for the Honorable D. Duff McKee in Boise, Idaho, before serving as a prosecutor in the Seattle City Attorney’s Criminal Office.

She later spent many years defending individuals in criminal matters and represented companies at national law firms in employment, regulatory, and liability matters.

Practice

White-collar, criminal, regulatory and civil matters

Wendy’s experience spans criminal defense, prosecution, civil litigation, employment and regulatory matters, civil rights, and internal investigations.

That breadth allows her to evaluate legal problems from more than one perspective and is particularly valuable when a matter has consequences beyond a single area of law.

Parallel proceedings

Experience across legal forums

Wendy’s background across criminal, civil, and regulatory matters gives her a broad perspective when representing clients in parallel proceedings and other matters that extend across legal forums.

She works with clients and other counsel to understand how those issues intersect and how decisions in one matter may affect another.

Experience

Federal Civil Rights Clinic

Wendy worked with the Federal Civil Rights Clinic for 13 years, adding significant civil-rights experience to a practice already grounded in criminal defense, regulatory matters, and litigation.

Education

Education

Wendy earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and graduated magna cum laude near the top of her class from Gonzaga University School of Law.
